Subscription is available via the O\u0161tro.si website, through banner placements on partner websites, and on social media. Subscription is completed by signing up and entering one\u2019s name and email address in the designated section of the online form. <br \/><br \/>In accordance with Article 158\/II of ZEKom\u20111, O\u0161tro will inform newsletter subscribers via email about its work, events, and campaigns, and invite them to participate. A subscriber may refuse such use of their email address with every received notification or already at the moment of subscribing to the newsletter (by clicking the appropriate button).<br \/><br \/>O\u0161tro will also process subscribers\u2019 personal data for internal analytical and statistical purposes, relying on its legitimate interest as the data controller.<br \/><br \/>Subscribers may independently change their personal data (name and email address) via the link provided in each newsletter.<br \/>Unsubscribing is possible with every received newsletter. At the bottom of each message, there will be a link reading \u201cI no longer wish to receive O\u0161tro\u2019s newsletter,\u201d through which subscribers may unsubscribe via a dedicated form.<br \/><br \/>They may also unsubscribe by sending a message to <a>contact@ostro.si<\/a>. In this case, O\u0161tro will stop processing the subscriber\u2019s personal data for the purpose of sending the newsletter within five days of receiving the request. A donor\u2019s name is published only at their explicit request or if their total annual contribution exceeds O\u0161tro\u2019s approximate monthly operating costs (&gt; 7,000 euros). In accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR, Steady processes member data for O\u0161tro on O\u0161tro\u2019s behalf.    <br \/><br \/>When joining, each prospective member may also subscribe to Steady\u2019s newsletter via a dedicated form. Anonymous submissions are not encouraged, as O\u0161tro sees no reason for anonymity when proposing topics in the public interest, unless anonymity is necessary because the individual feels at risk. In such cases, we advise the individual to submit information through O\u0161tro\u2019s secure whistleblowing portal for anonymously sharing information in the public interest, \u017evi\u017ega\u010d.si (see the Whistleblower chapter), where instructions for safe communication are also available.<br \/><br \/>In the case of notifications relevant to the public interest, senders will be treated as journalistic sources and protected from disclosure to third parties in accordance with Slovenian regulations and case law, unless the sender and the newsroom agree otherwise.<br \/><br \/>O\u0161tro will use the data solely for the purpose of contacting the sender to obtain additional information or, if necessary, to verify its credibility.<br \/><br \/>O\u0161tro will collect, store, or process data only if the reader has given explicit written consent, and in such cases the newsroom will retain proof of that consent.
